As the world of football gathered for the FIFA Congress in Bangkok, Thailand, the YallaVamos Bid for the FIFA World Cup 2030™ met key members of the football family.

Representatives from the Moroccan, Portuguese and Spanish Bid Business Units along with the Presidents of their respective Football Federations were there, in the days leading up to the Congress on May 17th, to present the three nation’s joint bid for the FIFA World Cup 2030.

The primary objective of the bid’s presence at the FIFA Congress was to foster a deeper understanding of the bid's vision and its key legacy plans for the 2030 World Cup. The delegation emphasized how the 2030 World Cup in Morocco, Portugal and Spain can have a substantial impact on the growth and development of football not only in Europe and Africa but also globally.

This series of meetings was the opportunity to present their bid to the leaders of several Confederations – including AFC, OFC, UEFA and CONCACAF – showcasing their commitment to promoting unity and diversity in football.

In addition to this, the delegation held productive meetings with the football federations of Canada, US, Mexico, and Australia. The purpose of these meetings was to leverage their experience as hosts for the FIFA World Cup 2026™ and the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023™ respectively.

The insights and key takeaways from these discussions are expected to be invaluable as the delegation continues to work towards their goal of organizing the FIFA World Cup 2030™.

During the Congress, FIFA also presented the Global Stand Against Racism in Football initiative, outlining five action areas to reinforce anti-racism measures across the world. The initiative was presented by YallaVamos 2030 ambassador Emmanuel Adebayor, and the delegation is thrilled that their bid aligns with FIFA's belief that inclusion and diversity are essential to growing the game and guaranteeing the best World Cup ever.
