In a strong display of unity in the fight against racism, Spain and Brazil played a friendly match on 26th March at the Santiago Bernabeu stadium in Madrid. Young talents Lamine Yamal and Endrick were among the stars of the show in a thrilling 3-3 draw between the sides.

A historic matchup, this was the tenth time that Spain and Brazil have met on a football pitch, in a rivalry dating back to the second FIFA World Cup ever, in 1934. The stadium, filled with fans of the Spanish team, set the stage for an exciting game under the banner of a new campaign against racism.

The ‘One Skin’ campaign was a key highlight of the match, underscoring the commitment of both teams to combat racism and providing the perfect backdrop for this message of unity.

This campaign emphasises the importance of eradicating racism from football and society at large. It's a reminder that football, like society, should be a place where everyone is treated equally, regardless of their skin colour or origin.

Despite our differences and no matter where we come from we are all one skin.

This message will be amplified in the build-up to the FIFA World Cup 2030, which will be the first edition of the men’s tournament to take place over three countries on two continents.

The bidding countries have promised to organise a true celebration of diversity and inclusion, with initiatives to support equal opportunities and act as a catalyst for change, paving the way for a brighter, more inclusive future for all.

Stay tuned to see how the three bidding nations emphasise the fight against racism over the coming months!
